Our Story | We Are Moss Point

Our story and Our Legacy Deserves to Be Celebrated.

What began as one woman's decision to celebrate the good in Moss Point grew into a movement built around service, pride, history, and hope.

The Story Behind The Name

A Community Worth Celebrating

We Are Moss Point began because Charlotte Brown believed her hometown deserved to be known for more than its struggles.

For years, the stories most often told about Moss Point focused on crime, hardship, and negativity. Charlotte knew another Moss Point: educators changing lives, businesses investing in neighborhoods, churches serving quietly, volunteers giving their time, and everyday people making the community stronger.

Instead of accepting the narrative, she began sharing positive stories through social media, newspapers, and community outreach. That decision became a grassroots movement.
